Additional Eligibility Requirement
Who this training is for
Domestic and Family Violence Training (DV-alert training) is designed to help frontline workers and members of the public who want to develop skills to recognise, respond to and refer people experiencing family, domestic and sexual violence (DV) in their professional or community roles.
DV-alert training aims to equip learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to support victims and survivors of family domestic and sexual violence.
This training is not suitable for:
- individuals who have been directed by a court to attend a perpetrator intervention program or behaviour change program. DV-alert training does not fulfil court-ordered requirements for perpetrator programs; or
- individuals seeking training to assist with child custody proceedings or other legal matters. This training focuses on frontline response skills, not legal processes.
If you have been court-ordered to attend domestic violence training, or are unsure whether this program is appropriate for your circumstances, please contact the Men's Referral Service on 1300 78 9978 for free telephone and online counselling service offering support for Australian men anywhere, anytime.
