About DV-alert
DV-alert is a nationally recognised training program. The face to face and virtual workshop delivery is delivered by Lifeline Centres on behalf of Lifeline Australia (RTO 88036). Our program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services as a key initiative under the National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children 2010-2022.
Since 2007, we have been working to build the knowledge and capability of frontline workers to reduce and prevent domestic and family violence.
DV-alert is led by experienced trainers dedicated to reducing violence against women and their children. Our workshops provide a safe space for frontline workers to learn, connect and be empowered to recognise and respond confidently to those in crisis.
Our goals
The DV-alert training program is based on four main goals:
- Driving whole of community action to prevent violence
- Understanding diverse experiences of violence
- Supporting innovative services and interventions
- Improving perpetrator interventions.
